BUTT INSPECTOR中文

The real medicine behind the jokes

BUTT INSPECTOR is a comedy. But every "actual medicine" card that appears after a case says something true and cites where it came from. Here they all are.

What the knowledge cards say

  • Nothing to Report

A normal-feeling exam is reassuring, but it can't rule out every condition. A finger only reaches the lower part of the rectum. If symptoms continue, see a doctor. M1M5

  • Backlog

Stool may be felt in the rectum on exam. That suggests retention, but not why it's happening. If bowel habits change for weeks, see a doctor. M2M4

  • Cushion Situation

Hemorrhoids can't always be felt with a finger; a doctor may need to look, sometimes with a small scope. Bleeding from the bottom has many causes, so get it checked. M2M4

  • A Small Tear

A fissure is a small tear in the lining of the anus. It often causes pain when passing stool, and bright red blood. If an exam hurts, it should stop. Get bleeding checked by a doctor. M1M4

  • Worth a Proper Look

A finger exam may find a lump, but it can't tell whether it's benign or cancer; that takes further tests. A lump, bleeding or changed bowel habits: see a doctor promptly. M2M3M4

  • Lost & Found

A real object stuck in the rectum can be a medical emergency. Don't try to remove it yourself; that can cause injury or push it deeper. Seek medical care. M6

  • Anatomy Note

During a digital rectal exam, the prostate can be felt through the front (anterior) wall of the rectum. Doctors note its size, consistency and any lumps. M2M3

What this game is not

It isn't medical training, a self-check guide or advice of any kind. The exam on screen is a toy. If you have bleeding, pain, a lump or a change in bowel habits, see a doctor.

One serious note

Something actually stuck in the rectum can be an emergency. Don't try to remove it yourself; go to urgent care or A&E.
